Manoj Bhatt

Country Director 

Mr. Manoj Bhatt leads GoodWeave India as Country Director and Managing Trustee. Mr. Bhatt has two decades of professional experience in leading systemic change projects and building organizations. Mr. Bhatt is recipient of numerous honors and awards for his exceptional public service, including the Ashoka Innovators for the Public Fellowship Award; Ford Foundation International Fellowship; and Climate Change Leader Award under the British High Commission’s Leadership for Environment and Development program. He was a Future Generations USA Fellow, working with world-class leaders and professionals leading exemplary and high impact social change in different parts of the world. Mr. Bhatt was also a Fellow of the Rainer Arnhold Fellows Program of the Mulago Foundation; USA, and applied theories of sustainable and scalable change in different settings in the USA, India, and Nepal. Mr. Bhatt holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University; USA, another Master’s in Political Science from HNB University; India and a certificate in Asset- Based and Citizen Driven Development from Cody International Institute, Canada. Prior to GoodWeave India, Mr. Bhatt founded and directed RACHNA, a network of non-profits working to build green communities by empowering local entrepreneurs and businesses. He also managed and led a large non-profit in Indian Himalayas called SBMA in partnerships and support from more than fifteen prestigious global development agencies. Mr. Bhatt is a member of the Technical Committee of ISEAL Alliance that represents the global movement of sustainability standards.

Deputy Director

Archana Mukharjee is GoodWeave India's Deputy Director. She provides strategic leadership and supervises operations for all our programs.

Avtar Singh Rana

Manager – Supply Chain Monitoring

Avtar Singh Rana works as Manager - Supply Chain Monitoring, and manages inspections and monitoring in the carpet supply chains as per the GoodWeave standard. He helps maintain a symbiotic relationship with the carpet licensees encouraging them to adopt the standards laid down by GoodWeave. Prior to joining GoodWeave, Avtar gathered 13 years of invaluable experience in the private as well as public sector. Within the development field, he has effectively managed and implemented about 16 regional and national level projects. His academic qualifications include BBA, MBA, a P.G. Diploma in Technology Management in Agriculture, a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Indian Statistical Institute, and 1-year Advance Diploma in Computer Science.

Vinti Singal

Supply Chain Sustainability Manager

Vinti Singal is GoodWeave India's Supply Chain Sustainability Manager. She leads GoodWeave's pilot initiative in the ready-made garment sector, bringing business-social congruence in a sector governed largely by informal supply chains.  Vinti is also supporting the development of GoodWeave’s compliance standard for the garment-sector project. Previously, Vinti has helped improve compliance for organisations such as The Coca Cola Company and GEMO` Groupe Eram.  A graduate in Philosophy and a post-graduate in Business Administration, Ms. Singal has over the years gained technical expertise in ensuring business accountability, and supply chain management.

Ajeet Pratap Singh

Manager - Accounts and Administration

Ajeet Pratap Singh is the Manager – Accounts and Administration for GoodWeave India. After acquiring 10 years of distinguished experience in the finance division of various reputed organizations, he is now managing the accounts-related responsibilities for GoodWeave India. With a professional degree in Charted Accountancy, Ajeet possesses the skill and patience to effectively support all four GoodWeave offices and areas of operation in the country. Going much beyond his existing scope of work, he contributes remarkably in the administration and human resource divisions.

Nitu Prasad

Social Program Manager (India)

Nitu Prasad leads the GoodWeave India Social Program. She is responsible for providing direction as well as strategic support to the social program team, specifically within the Child Friendly Community project across the operational states of GoodWeave India. Ms. Prasad is also principally contributing towards the establishment of M & E function. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of child rights and development, she brings with herself a plethora of technical and program management skills to the organization. Before GoodWeave, she has worked in institutions of national and international standing, such as SBMA, RACHNA, Save the Children UK and India.

Dr. Rashid Raza

Social Program Manager

Dr. Rashid Raza is the Program Manager, coordinating social programs in the Varanasi area. He has a Ph.D in Industrial Relations from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, Varanasi, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work with specialization in Labour Welfare and Personal Management. With two decades of dedicated experience in child labor eradication and rehabilitation, he now helps implement the Child Friendly Community Project (CFC) in Varanasi, Bhadohi, Jaunpur and Mirzapur districts. Utilizing his professional and academic expertise, the project aims to support the most vulnerable out of school children by focusing on their specific educational needs, organizing family counseling, motivation and learning camps, as well as improving education in schools.

Jawed Ahmed

Supply Chain Sustainability Specialist

Jawed Ahmed works as the Supply Chain Sustainability Specialist, and is based in our Greater Noida office. Before joining GoodWeave, he worked as the Social Compliance Manager in a carpet manufacturing & export firm. Jawed’s inclination towards social transformation and helping the most marginalized of communities motivated him to join GoodWeave. After his effective contribution in carpet supply chain monitoring for over 5 years, Jawed has been one of the key individuals to help kickstart GoodWeave’s pilot initiative in the ready-made garment sector

Pradeep Kumar Raghav

Asst. Manager - Accounts & Admin.

Mr. Pradeep is the Asst. Manager - Accounts & Admin. at GoodWeave India.  With nearly 16 years of experience in accounts and administration, Pradeep contributes remarkably to GoodWeave’s administrative and financial accounting system.  Mr. Raghav’s academic qualifications are as diverse as his skills and include B. Com, LLB, B. Ed. and M. Com degrees. His inclination towards the development sector transpired a great deal in the last few years. Prior to joining the organization, Pradeep worked as the Accounts and Finance Officer on the Urban Health Initiative project (funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation) for over six years.

Chandra Prakash Sharma

Supply Chain Monitoring Officer

Chandra Sharma is serving as Supply Chain Monitoring officer in Goodweave India. He manages the inspection and monitoring division in Varanasi region. Leading a team of eight members, he is also responsible for Audit and Inspections for development of Compliance as per Goodweave standards in carpet sector. Chandra is seasoned officer and has deep experience in Monitoring & Evaluation projects including both roles as an Auditor and as Research Analyst. Prior to Goodweave, Chandra had served in Agriculture Finance Corporation as Consultant, a leading consultancy firm providing research services to various Govt. Institutions. Earlier in his career, Chandra was a Mystery auditor and did several service audits and feasibility studies for hospitality and service industry. Chandra has an Masters in Business Economics from University of Lucknow and Graduated in Commerce from Kanpur University.

Vinai Kant

Monitoring and Rehabilitation Officer

Vinai Kant is Goodweave India`s Monitoring and Rehabilitation Officer. He leads the organisation’s rehabilitation function by working with rescued children and their families during and much after their identification. By accounting for each and every child labor case, Vinai helps the organization promote their sustainability commitment for ending child labour in supply chains. Prior to Goodweave, he worked with Atlas buyers group as Quality Manager. With nearly 25 years of experience in supply chain monitoring and child labour rehabilitation, Vinai continues to educate carpet workers and small businesses on these issues. He studied textile engineering from Indian Institute of Handloom Technology.

Jay Prakash

Program Officer

Passionate about working for underprivileged children, Jay helps manage and implement the Child Friendly Community project in the rural communities of Varanasi-Bhadohi Carpet belt. Jay also supports the functions of the accounts department. Prior to joining GoodWeave, Jay worked with Bachapan Bachao Andolan(BBA) to ending child labor and bonded labor in sari manufacturing. Jay spent nearly decade working on issues related to Public health, education, social justice and child rights with organisations like Human Rights Law Network, People Vigilance Committee of Human Rights, Citizen Fronts, Prerana Kala Manch, Child Line and National Literacy Mission. Jay holds M.A and B.Ed. degrees in Hindi literature and a bachelor's degree in Social Science.

Narendra Singh

Supply Chain Monitoring Officer

Narendra Singh is GoodWeave India's Supply Chain Monitoring Officer. In addition to monitor complete supply chain of licensees in Bhadohi area, Narendra works closely with small factory owners, labor contractors and carpet workers to help them maintain a child-labor-free environment and good working conditions in the carpet factories. Narendra is also actively supporting GoodWeave’s communication with exporters in the region. Prior to joining GoodWeave, Narendra worked largely in the Public Health sector with organisations like National AIDS Control Organization, Pathfinder International, UNICEF and World Health Organization. He holds a Master of Arts (Sociology) degree and is currently pursuing MSW from SHIATS.

Based out of our Greater Noida office, Basab is GoodWeave India's IMC Support Officer.

Sunil Kumar Chaurasia

Asst. Supply Chain Monitoring Officer

Sunil Kumar Chaurasia works as the Asst. Supply Chain Monitoring Officer. He helps in inspections, audits, and other monitoring related tasks in the carpet belt. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in History, he decided to study law and did his LLB. His passion for advocating for equality and access motivated him to join the People’s Vigilance Committee on Human Rights and later, Bachpan Bachao Andolon. As the Monitoring Officer, Sunil utilizes his excellent liaisoning skills to mobilize diverse stakeholders at the community level. He is driven by his passion to see a positive change in the lives of disadvantaged children and workers.

Neetu Pundir

IMC Supervisor

Neetu Pundir works as the IMC Supervisor at the Panipat office. Having completed her Bachelor’s in Computer Application and a PG diploma in Business Administration, Neetu used to work in the HR department of a Media house. Here at GoodWeave, she plays diverse roles relating to label issuance and processing, program support, data collection and compilation, among others. Ms. Neetu also has a commitment towards improving the existing situation of migrant workers in the region, and hopes to make a difference through GoodWeave’s intervention.

Sadanand Nishad

IMC Office Supervisor

Sadanand Nishad is the IMC Office Supervisor. His personality brims enthusiasm, and his vigor to support his fellow employees stands out. Mr. Nishad has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, and another in Physical Education. Some of his key duties at GoodWeave include tasks relating to office finance and administration, and helping out with GoodWeave’s label management functions, such as storing and handling labels, issuing and dispatching them to client companies on request.

Ajit Roy

Social Program Officer

Ajit Roy is GoodWeave’s Social Program Officer in the Panipat region. He leads a team of community facilitators and field officers and helps them implement the Child Friendly Community project in the labor colonies in industrial Panipat. He is also responsible for extending rehabilitation support and following up with former child workers and their families in the area. Prior to joining GoodWeave, Ajit worked with World Health Partners to implement district level project on Maternal Health & Family Planning. He holds bachelor’s degree in Arts and a master’s degree in Social Work.

Minakshi Bajaj

Field Officer

Based in Panipat, Minakshi is GoodWeave India's Field Officer.

Mujeebur Rahman

Field Officer

Mujeebur Rahman helps manage field operations in the Salai village of Uttar Pradesh. Leading a team of community facilitators in the area, he also undertakes liaison with schools, panchayats and other local bodies. He holds a master’s degree in social work with a specialization in Labour Welfare and Personal Management from Teerthankar Mahaveer University and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University.

Arshi Faiyaz Siddiqui

Field Officer

Arshi faiyaz siddiqui had done her graduation from Agra university, and she holds a MSW degree from Jaipur National University, Now she is working as field officer in Goodweave india in jaipur rajasthan. She is responsible in making 7 villages child labour free through ensuring that the children of these villages are getting education. As the orgnization believes that if a child is getting education then he is away from child labour so she is heading towards it to make it happen in the communities. She is working with the communities to empower them and make them realize the value of education.  She looks after the entire monitoring aspect of her cluster. She counsels the families of beneficiary children to make the communities child friendly and to realize the communities about the harshness of child labour. She is not only ensuring school education but also tring to develop competencies in the children.

Ayush Dhingra

Communication and Planning Officer

is GoodWeave India's Communication and Planning Officer. He is responsible for improving the quality, intensity, and effectiveness of organization’s communication at various levels, and with diverse stakeholders.  Ayush helps the organization promote their sustainability commitment for ending child labor in supply chains. Prior to joining GoodWeave, Ayush worked with Family Health International to develop and implement district level trainings for nurses in five states. He holds an MSc. degree in Media, Communication and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.

Anju Devi

Field Officer

 

Anju Devi is Good Weave’s Field Officer in Panipat. She provides ample support in implementation of Child Friendly Community Project and coordinates with the team of Community Facilitators in the region. She ensures the smooth functioning of Motivation and Learning Camps, School Level Tracking, as well a builds awareness in worker communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts and master’s degree in Social Work.

Field Officer

Sunil is a Field Officer in the Sikanderabad region.

Wahid Ali

Field Officer

Wahid is responsible for ground-level implementation of the Child Friendly Community program in villages of Jaee and Nangla in Uttar Pradesh. Leading a team of community facilitators in the Meerut region, he also undertakes liaison with schools and local govt. authorities. He holds a master’s degree in social work with a specialization in Labour Welfare and Personal Management and a master’s degree in Sociology. Previously, he undertook field work in Polio Prevention Program with Adarsh Seva Samithi and volunteered for Child Labour Survey organised by the Central Government.

Kalu Ram Kumawat

Teaching and Learning Coordinator

Kalu ram Kumawat is GoodWeave India's Teaching & Learning Coordinator. He is responsible for developing the pedagogical tools to support teaching activities in GoodWeave’s Child Friendly Community project. He also facilitates orientation programs for field officers and community facilitators on alternative teaching techniques for children. Previously, Kalu Ram worked for 3 years on a livelihood project for rural workers. He completed his B.tech in Electrical Engineering.

Abhishek Sisodiya

Assistant Monitoring Officer

Abhishek is working with the inspection and monitoring team to map and improve the supply chain of our licensed exporters.  Abhishek has worked with Government of NCT of Delhi to address the problem of Substance abuse in the capital among adolescents and children. He has also worked with YMCA in their community development programs for rural women.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science Hons. from Ramjas college and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work.

Himanshu Gupta

Assistant Monitoring Officer

Himanshu Gupta is working as Asst. Monitoring Officer in Goodweave India. He has acquired his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Social work from the University of Delhi. Prior to joining Goodweave, he worked as a Social work trainee in the area of child rights in organisations like Bachpan Bachao Andolan, Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre (JAC) Society and Centre for Early Education and Development (CECED). In Goodweave his major responsibilities are to assist in replication of GoodWeave’s work in the Home textile sector in Jaipur along with conducting research in Handmade Garment sector in North India.

Dushyant is an Assistant Monitoring Officer based in Mirzapur.

Rohit Aggarwal

Assistant Program Officer

Rohit is supporting the Child Friendly Community program in Rajasthan. As a member of the Coordination Committee for social programs, he is also helping develop new intervention strategies on working with children in the weaving communities. Rohit used to play professional foodtball with the Simla youngs football club (SYFC) and became a close observer of child rights issues by working with organizations like Slum Soccer, Aman Biradari, and Wazirpur open community. Rohit has Master of Social Work degree from the Delhi University and a Bachelors degree in Political science.

Rachna Aind

Assistant IMC Support Officer

Rachna Aind is Asistant IMC Support Officer in GoodWeave India. Her role involves management and perusal of important data for the carpet sector in addition to recordkeeping. She holds a degree in PGDM in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Social Services, Ranchi.

R. Venkat Reddy

Mr. R. Venkat Reddy, the National Convener of MV Foundation, has been working for the Protection of Child Rights for the last two decades. His work has been directed towards abolishing child labor of all forms, and mainstreaming of formal schooling for all children. He has led marches, rallies, padayatras and has organized a string ofpublic meetings, mobilizing thousands of young minds to join the campaign against child labor. Under his effective leadership since 1992, the MV Foundation program has expanded to 10,000 villages, covering 13 districts in Andhra Pradesh, and resulting in over 400,000 children being withdrawn from work, so that they can attend schools. In addition the program also entailed monitoring over 10 lakh children through the creation of village-based Child Rights Protection Forums.

Geeta Athreya

Ms. Geeta Athreya is a renowned Philanthropist, Development worker and Public Health practitioner.  She has been at the foreground of India’s social development movement and has been an important subsidiary with several Bilateral and Multilateral aid and donor agencies. Currently, an independent Development Consultant, she has helped bring about substantial global reforms while working with government and local bodies in the domains of Health and Education. In the last two years, since her association with GoodWeave India Trust, Ms. Athreya has added dimensional value to the organization by bringing more than 30 years of development experience to her role as a board member.

Prabha Pande

Serving as the Chairperson for GoodWeave India Trust, Ms. Pande has been key to providing effective direction and leadership to the board. She comes with significant international development experience and has remarkably performed a repertoire of leadership roles. Besides being the Country Director for Plan International in Nepal (2001-2006) and Thailand (2006-2009), she had worked for Save the Children Fund (UK) as Head of Regional Office in Bangkok. Moreover, as the Program Support Manager at the Plan International’s India Country Office, Minty played a central role in supervising the program staff while working with numerous field offices of its 15 NGO partners.

Mohommad Parvez Khan

Mr. Parvez Khan’s lifework has been about demonstrating the effective relationship between ethics and business. He was the Director for Cooperative Bank for half a decade (2003-2008), the Vice President of Rotary Club, Mirzapur Gaurav, and the President of Rotary Club Vindhyachal. Like GoodWeave, Mr. Khan’s motivation has been explicating that responsible business practices can eventually churn more than just profits. This is evident in his initial effort to set up a carpet-manufacturing unit (Neman Carpets, Mirzapur) to provide employment opportunities to the local weaving community in the region. The high level of ethical practice soon turned the unit into a major Indian export house, which is now a source of livelihood for more than 350 artisan families.
